Content
The course is a basic introduction to medical geography with a focus on infectious diseases associated to the environment, including in the context of global environmental change. We review how mapping and a multiscale perspective can bring additional highlight to public health practitioners.
Teaching methods
The course is made of lectures and a practical work in which students prepare a map using the public data of their choosing using a web mapping app (Magrit). If there are significant obstacle to carrying out that activity, the practical work will consist in analysing and commenting an existing map.
Evaluation methods
The course will be evaluated based on two questionnaires on the content of the lectures (20% each) and the map prepared and its comment (60%). In the August session, only one questionnaire (40%) will be administered.
