During this Masters course, you will be able to specialise in one of the major professional fields offered by the School of Communication by choosing the "Louvain School of Journalism" option.

Your programme

The master's programme offers you 

  • a programme that combines theoretical and analytical mastery with practical learning of high-level professional techniques ;
  • specialised training in the major professional fields of information and communication;
  • an integrated approach based on individual or group projects and case studies;
  • a multidisciplinary approach to communication issues;
  • the opportunity to practise your skills in real-life conditions, thanks to a field placement and full weeks of exercises in real-life situations;
  • the opportunity to spend part of your programme abroad.

At Louvain-la-Neuve, the master's programme offers a choice of two finalities:

  • Louvain School of Journalism ;
  • in-depth studies (focusing on media analysis, information and communication processes and journalistic practices).

You will complete your programme by choosing two options to deepen your major or to meet specific expectations in the professional sector. 

The Master's in Journalism is part of the range of courses offered by the School of Communication. In addition to the Master's in Journalism, the School offers :

  • a specialization in "Strategic communication in organizations
  • a major in "Cultural Industries Studies
  • an in-depth degree

In Mons :

  • a specialised degree in "Culture and Communication" ;
  • a specialised course in "Web Strategy and Communication";
  • a part-time degree: "Culture and Communication".

- A Master's degree in strategic communication with a staggered timetable and work-linked training (COAM2M)

- A Master's degree in information and communication sciences and technologies.
 

The School of Communication also offers the unique opportunity for a double degree with renowned international partners. The selected students spend a first year at the partner university and the second year at UCLouvain. They obtained two master’s degrees.

In journalism, the partner is the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland).
