Teaching method

The entire training program is conducted online. The language of instruction is English.

These courses have been specially developed for e-learning training, in collaboration with distance learning professionals from UCLouvain.

Each course has been designed according to a pedagogical device adapted to this type of teaching according to the competences targeted in the framework of this training. The course offers a variety of teaching aids and teaching methods, and guarantees each learner individualized tutoring.

Prof. Valérie Rosoux, FNRS Research Director
Valerie Rosoux is a Research Director at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research (FNRS). She teaches International Negotiation, and Transitional Justice at UCLouvain. Since 2017, she is an External Scientific Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg. She has a Licence in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in International Relations. Her research interests focus on the uses of memory in international relations.

Prof. Pierre Bouchat, Assistant Professor, Université de Lorraine, Metz, France
Pierre Bouchat is an assistant professor of social psychology at the Université de Lorraine (France). He teaches Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Social Psychology, and Applied Social Psychology. Pierre is also a guest lecturer at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) and Associate Researcher at the Universidad del País Vasco (Spain). His research interests focus on the influence of representations of the past on intergroup relations.

Dr. Aline Cordonnier, Post-doctoral researcher and visiting lecturer
Aline Cordonnier is a postdoctoral researcher in psychology at UCLouvain within an interdisciplinary team. Her main interests lie within the realm of memory and autobiographical thinking, both at the individual and group levels. In particular, she examines the functions of memory, how it is discussed and transmitted, its role in projecting the self into the future, and its relationship to family, interpersonal relationships and social identity.

Dr. Stipe Odak, Visiting Lecturer
Stipe Odak is a postdoctoral researcher at the UCLouvain. He holds a PhD in Political and Social Science from UCLouvain and a PhD in Theology from KU Leuven. His primary research interests are inter-group conflicts, collective memory, and religion. He’s a published poet and a member of PEN International.

Dr. Sandra Rios Oyola, FNRS Post-doctoral researcher
Sandra is a sociologist interested in the study of human dignity, religious peacebuilding, emotions and memory. Sandra is currently a FNRS postdoctoral researcher at the Catholic University of Louvain, where she researches how transitional justice helps to restoring victims' human dignity, with a focus on Colombia. She is the author of the book 'Religion and Social Memory amid Conflict. The Massacre of Bojayá in Colombia' (Palgrave Macmillan 2015); and she is the co-editor of 'Time and Temporality in the Study of Transitional Societies' (Routledge 2018).


Teaching organization

Courses are entirely organized online to reach and facilitate the learning of an international audience.

In order to supervise the learning process, an individualized tutoring is set up by the course teachers, who thus ensure a personalized follow-up of the participants. This tutoring guarantees progress and supervision of the pedagogical activities required in each course.

Each course is the subject of a specific pedagogical organization adapted for online teaching. The teaching materials vary and use specific e-learning tools, in line with the teaching methods defined by teachers (collaborative, problem-based learning, etc.).
