Access Requirements

Master course admission requirements are defined by the French Community of Belgium Decree of 7 November 2013 defining the higher education landscape and the academic organisation of courses.

General and specific admission requirements for this programme must be satisfied at the time of enrolling at the university.

Unless explicitly mentioned, the bachelor's, master's and licentiate degrees listed in this table or on this page are to be understood as those issued by an institution of the French, Flemish or German-speaking Community, or by the Royal Military Academy.

In the event of the divergence between the different linguistic versions of the present conditions, the French version shall prevail.



Specific access requirements

Language competence

The program is available either solely in English either in both French and English.

Candidates wishing to take the program solely in English will have to provide a proof (e.g., TOEFL) of proficiency in this language forthe C1 level or other proxies. These proxies may include, but are not limited to:
•    completion of at least three English-taught courses during your curriculum, with validated credits
•    professional experience (at least three months) involving writing tasks in English
•    participation in major English-speaking extracurricular activities relevant to the EU master's program.

Candidates wishing to take the program in both languages (French and English) will have to provide a proof of proficiency for both languages (e.g., TOEFL, Attestation ‘Alliance française’) for the B2 level or other proxies. These proxies may include, but are not limited to:
•    completion of at least two English-taught and two French-taught courses during your curriculum, with validated credits
•    professional experience (at least one month) involving writing tasks in English and in French
•    participation in English-speaking and French-speaking extracurricular activities relevant to the EU master's program.

The EURO admission panel is the only body able to recognize and validate the supporting documents provided by the candidate

Holders of a non-University 2nd cycle degree

According to the Government Decree, your initial diploma does not grant you automatic access to this Masters. Nevertheless, you may be able to access the course by taking certain additional classes, over and above your standard programme. Please contact the faculty organising the Masters for information as to the procedure to follow. Access based on validation of professional experience

It is possible, under certain conditions, to use one's personal and professional experience to enter a university course without having the required qualifications. However, validation of prior experience does not automatically apply to all courses. Find out more about Validation of priori experience.

Adults with professional experience may be able to join the programme through an individualised admission procedure involving the validation of prior experience.

Access based on application

Access based on application : access may be granted either directly or on the condition of completing additional courses of a maximum of 60 ECTS credits, or refused.
