ABOUT CRECIS

Center for Research in Entrepreneurial Change and Innovative Strategies (CRECIS)

Organisations are constantly challenging their strategic capabilities and their management skills. Small or large, Hi or low tech, they all incorporate innovation and change in their core business practices.

The mission of CRECIS is to explore innovative strategies and to draw up strategic implications for the future of European corporations.

We offer a unique multidisciplinary scientific expertise and help decision makers to develop strategic capabilities based upon innovativeness and change in a turbulent environment.

About us

CRECIS was created in the 1980s at the IAG School of Management of UCL. With the foundation of the Louvain School of Management, the ReCCCoM (FUNDP) and some CeRIO‘s members (FUCaM) joined the CRECIS research activities. The objective was to study the key drivers of competitiveness for European corporations. One of the main lessons learnt was the deep embedded nature of managerial capabilities and organisational design within strategic vision and leadership skills.

CRECIS works on the creation and development of strategic capabilities in turbulent business environments. Its orientation follows two main guidelines:

1. CRECIS is a multidisciplinary research centre. Members are experts in many fields of management (change, crisis, entrepreneurship, innovation, human resources), as well as accounting and control, marketing, psychology, sociology or economics. See our research and our members.

2. CRECIS is an applied research centre. Activities are oriented towards a balanced mix of academic research and dialogue with the business community. See Our dialogue with the business community.

Our mission

Organizations are constantly challenging their strategic capabilities and their management skills.
In particular, we develop an original approach focusing on three dimensions:

  1. The management of organizations and human resources, promoting innovative strategies;
  2. The role of entrepreneurial and responsible behaviours;
  3. The dynamics of organizational change and crises management.
