L’appel transnational du Partenariat Européen ERA4HEALTH NutriBrain 2024 Joint Transnational Call  - “Modulation of brain ageing through nutrition and healthy lifestyle”  est ouvert

L’appel est dit transnational car le consortium sera international avec chaque partenaire financé par l’agence de financement nationale/régionale auprès de laquelle il est éligible. Pour les équipes UCLouvain, le bailleur de fonds est le FRS-FNRS.

Call Themes:

The aim of the call is to support transnational research projects that focus on the improvement of cognitive brain ageing through nutrition and other lifestyle factors.

• Soumission des propositions (pre-proposal) pour le 15/01/2024
• Consortium: avec minimum 3 partenaires (maximum 5) issus de minimum 3 pays différents participant à l’appel (jusqu’à 7 partenaires autorisés si le consortium inclut des partenaires issus d’Estonie, Lituanie, Romanie ou Slovaquie.
• Chaque partenaire du projet est financé par l'agence de financement nationale/régionale participante.

Pays/régions participants : Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands.

• Chaque agence de financement a posé ses propres règles de financement.
• Durée d'un projet: 36 mois.

Règlement FNRS

Les grandes lignes (pour le règlement complet : Règlement-FNRS pour les projets identifiés comme PINT-Multi) :

!!! Parallèlement à la soumission de la proposition, le FNRS exige une soumission administrative en ligne via leur outil E-SPACE (sélectionner l’instrument « PINT-Multi » pour la création du formulaire). Toute non soumission en temps et en heure entrainera la non éligibilité du dossier et donc du consortium international. Cette soumission sur e-space doit se faire dans les 5 jours ouvrables qui suivent la date limite générale de l’appel (i.e. 22 janvier 2024), en plus de la soumission au niveau du réseau européen.

• Les entreprises de la FWB ne sont pas financées.
• Jusque 300,000 € de financement.
• Les frais de personnel : 80,000€ en moyenne annuelle sur la durée du projet.

Les plafonds pourraient limiter le profil des candidats lors de(s) engagement(s). Si vous souhaitez engager une personne dont le coût est supérieur aux plafonds du FNRS, il vous faudra prévoir le complément sur fond propre (compte ressources diverses).

Taux d’occupation : Seuls des temps-plein et des mi-temps sont autorisés. Boursiers : uniquement temps-plein

• Appel co-financé Les projets durent 3 ans. Néanmoins, dans le cas du financement d’un doctorant boursier, le financement du doctorant peut être prolongé d’une quatrième année après accord du F.R.S. FNRS. La demande de prolongation doit être introduite 6 mois avant la fin du projet et doit être accompagnée de l’avis positif du promoteur ainsi que du comité d’accompagnement. Dans ce cas, la dernière année de thèse sera à charge du F.R.S.-FNRS
• Les frais de fonctionnement (dont les frais nécessaires au respect des règles en matières d’accessibilité « open » des publications, et éventuellement des données).
  • 20% maximum de votre budget pour la sous-traitance et les prestations internes
  • Publication d’un article en open access pour un montant maximum de 750 euros (PAS de frais de publication liés au « modèle hybride », c’est-à-dire les frais liés à la mise en « open access » de publications réalisées dans des journaux « classiques »).
• Les frais d’équipement : jusque 20% de votre budget.
• Les overheads ne sont pas un coût éligible pour le FRS-FNRS

This call for proposals is transnational i.e. the consortium shall involve partners from different countries ; each partner will be financed directly by its national/regional funding agency. i.e. FRS-FNRS for UCLouvain.

General information about the ERA4HEALTH Nutribrain 2024 Joint Transnational Call - “Modulation of brain ageing through nutrition and healthy lifestyle”

• Deadline 15/01/2024 (pre-proposal) 27/05/2024 (full proposals)
• Consortium: Each application must involve at least 3 eligible research partners from at least three participating countries (maximum 5 partners. The maximum number of eligible partners can be increased up to 7 if theyinclude partners from the following participating countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia).
• Each partner is funded directly by its regional/national funding agency.

Participating countries/regions : Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherlands.

• Each national/regional funding agency has its own financial rules.
• Project duration: max. 36 months.

FRS-FNRS Rules

All eligibility rules and criteria can be found in the PINT-MULTI regulations.

!!! Please note Applicants to F.R.S.-FNRS funding must provide basic administrative data by submitting an administrative application on e-space within 5 working days after the general deadline of the call to be eligible (i.e. 21/03/2023). Please select the “PINT-MULTI” funding instrument when creating the administrative application.

• Industrial partners and NGOs from FWB are not eligible for funding by FRS-FNRS.
• The maximum amount of requested funding for partners from FWB is 300.000 EUR for a total period of 3 years
• Personnel costs : max. 80,000EUR on an annual average

• This call is co-funded : projects last 3 years. However, If the project involves the recruitment of a PhD student, the project duration of the F.R.S.-FNRS sub-project could be up to four years. The extension request must be submitted 6 months before the end of the project and must be accompanied by the positive opinion of the promoter and the support committee. In this case, the last year of the thesis will be at the expense of the F.R.S.-FNRS.
• Operating costs (inclunding costs for « open-access » publications and data)
• Subcontracting is limited to max. 20% of the total budget
• Open access publication : maximum de 750 euros per article
• Equipment is limited to max. 20% of the total budget
• “Overhead” is not an eligible cost.
