In this seminar, I will review the main feature of the biomechanics of human muscles. I will further explain how we can compute the efficiency of representative locomotion tasks. Finally, I will present the main technologies developed by engineers to artificially mimic the dynamic of muscles with artificial devices, such as the one(s) that we have tested and plan to test in the lab.
