Series: Conservation Résumé The NWO-sponsored project ‘Moving Animals’ explores how, in the twentieth century, humans have tried to study, represent and manage animals that move (or are being moved) over large distances (see: moving-animals.nl).

Description : The conference brings together scholars working on different strands of Late-Medieval and Early-Modern thought. Its broader focus is on the general variety of distinctions (formal, modal, rational, real, etc.) throughout this period’s metaphysics.

From Science to Metaphysics? On the use of scientific knowledge and practices in order to propose an ontology of nature is the theme of the 4th workshop of the OLOFOS group. It will take place on May 11-12 2023 in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) at the Institut supérieur de philosophie (ISP) of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain).
