Discharge measurements in rivers
Short Project description
This project aims at the development of an application to measure discharges in rivers based on surface-velocity measurements by LSPIV (Large-scale particle velocimetry) combined to a technique to determine the wetted area of the cross-section.
Images can be acquired from a fixed position along the river, or from a drone flying over the monitored area.
Extended project description
Project under development with Master students, with the aim of providing an open-source code to be shared with other researchers.
