Traduction automatique du français vers les pictogrammes pour améliorer la communication entre médecins et patients avec une déficience intellectuelle en milieu hospitalier

L'objectif de ce projet doctoral est d'étudier les façons dont la communication entre un médecin et un patient avec une déficience intellectuelle peut être améliorée dans les hôpitaux, en particulier, pour réaliser une anamnèse. Il s'agit notamment d'adapter au français le système de traduction automatique Text-to-Picto (développé à l'origine par la KULeuven), de l'améliorer avec différentes méthodes de traitement automatique du langage (traduction et simplification automatique de la langue médicale), avant de l'évaluer auprès d'adultes avec une déficience intellectuelle. Une petite partie de ces recherches s'inscrit aussi dans le cadre de Propicto, un projet co-dirigé par l'Université de Genève.
