Dr. Enrique Germany Morrison began his academic journey at the Universidad de Concepción in Chile, where he earned his B.Sc. in Engineering Sciences (2012) and Professional Title of Biomedical Engineer (2014), continuing after with a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (2015). He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2020, focusing on biomedical signal acquisition systems. During his doctoral studies he contributed to research on myoelectric prosthetics and biomedical instrumentation, with extensive experience in both hardware and software development. Since 2022, Dr. Germany Morrison has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Neuroscience (IoNS), Université Catholique de Louvain, in Brussels. In this role, he conducts cutting-edge research on refractory epilepsy and neurostimulation therapies. His research interests lie at the intersection of biomedical signal acquisition, advanced signal processing, and neural engineering, with a special focus on developing vagus nerve stimulation approaches for epilepsy treatment. This interdisciplinary background underpins his contributions to both engineering and neuroscience.
