About CAPE

CAPE is a research center at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles, specializing in public finance and policy evaluation. Located in the heart of Brussels, CAPE collaborates with policymakers, civil society, and academia to study fiscal and social public policies in Belgium.

Flagship Project - Beamm

Beamm is an open-access online tax-benefit microsimulation platform, funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) from the Brussels Region. It aims to expand its scope and applications in collaboration with Brussels' public administrations, policymakers, and civil society.

Beamm.conf25 Objectives
  • Gather national and international researchers, policymakers, young researchers, and civil society.
  • Discuss pressing Belgian and international issues in fiscal and social public policy.
  • Stimulate dialogue, exchange good practices, and boost collaboration between academia, policymakers, and civil society.
