Hexa-anionic linkers and metal-organic frameworks for positive battery electrodes by Tom GOOSSENS -

Jeudi 5 février 2026 à 15h00 - Auditoire SCES02 - Place des Sciences, 2 - 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve -

With the growing demand for sustainable energy and the challenges posed by fossil fuels, developing efficient and eco-friendly energy storage systems is crucial. The thesis explores new organic and metal-organic cathode materials built from novel hexa-anionic building blocks, overcoming solubility limitations and enhancing performance. It addresses the development of high-performance, practical battery chemistries, demonstrates rare mixed proton-electron conductivity in 3D metal-organic frameworks, and opens a rich landscape of materials with tunable electrochemical and structural properties.
