At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

This course aims to develop the student's active and passive skills in legal Dutch. It will enable the student to understand legislative, jurisprudential and doctrinal content in Dutch dealing with the themes covered in the course. It will also enable them to produce simple, coherent oral and written legal content.  
By the end of the course, students should have a good knowledge of the legal terminology covered during the course.
They should also be able to understand a large number of legal texts in Dutch, and be able to answer related questions in Dutch. They should also be able to translate complex passages from Dutch into French and simpler passages from French into Dutch. The course should also develop listening comprehension skills. Finally, the student should be able to draft a simple legal document in Dutch and express himself/herself clearly orally on a given legal subject. To this end, the student may be asked to provide written or oral services. The contribution of this UE to the development and mastery of the skills and knowledge acquired in the program(s) can be found at the end of this sheet, in the section: “Programs/training courses offering this teaching unit (UE)”.
