The course will address the major approaches in literature that have been developed throughout history and will question the validity of scientific methods and discourses related to reading.
It will provide epistemological reference points and frameworks for literary studies: the history and problematics of the notions of text, literary genre and literature, the constituent elements of dramatic text, poetic text and narrative text, including those of the main narrative genres and the main narrative worlds.
In addition to the theoretical and historical introduction to the methods of literary analysis, the course will include specific case studies.
