Prerequisites
The students registered for the didactic finality or for the teaching certificate can follow as from the first year.
Main themes
Strenghtening of one teaching area of French as first language and set up of a scientific methodology suited to the research in the area in question.
15 hours of seminar, with groups of 15 to 20 students.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 To learn how to integrate oneself in a process of research of didactic for French by trying out tools and methods related to a specific issue of the teaching of French.
 
Content
The seminar introduces the main principles and methods of research into teaching French, particularly the analysis of teaching methods and the effect they have on pupils. On this basis, students will discover and compare different examples of research already undertaken and try out for themselves a research measure relating to activities for teaching learners reading writing, speaking, language or literature.
Teaching methods
Alternating presentations by the teacher, solo and duo research and analysis activities and presentation of the work done in plenary session followed by sharing of thoughts.
Evaluation methods
An essay of 15 pages. Instructions and evaluation criteria given at the end of the seminar.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) must be used responsibly and in accordance with academic and scientific integrity practices, which means that all sources must be cited and any use of AI must be explicitly stated.
