At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Given the « competencies referential » linked to the LSM Master 120 in Management and in Business Engineering, this course mainly develops the following competencies:

Learning outcomes
At the end of this learning unit, students will be able to:
  • Analyze and discuss the CFO and corporate financial decisions’ positioning in a world wherein environmental, social & governance (ESG) considerations prevail
  • Estimate the value of an investment project with leverage
  • Analyze and discuss any firm or organization’s capital structure choice and its implications
  • Analyze and discuss working capital and corporate treasury management, and identify the related trade-off
  • Analyze any firm or organization’s corporate governance and explain its implications

Evaluation methods
Within this course, students' skills assessment is twofold :
• Ongoing assessment with mandatory homeworks (case studies) to deliver during the semester (25% of the final grade)
• Written exam with open questions at mid-semester (75% of the final grade)
The grade of the homeworks is not longer taken into account in case of second session (resit exam=100% of the grade).
