Content
The course provides a general and historical overview of Spanish literature, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, through the study of representative texts, authors, and literary movements.
Teaching methods
Ex cathedra lectures on the history of Spanish literature.
Text analysis, involving active student participation as well as preparatory or suplementary readings.
Contextualization of texts within an author's work or a literary movement, accompanied by commentary and analysis.
Written assignment and oral presentation, carried out individually or in groups.

Evaluation methods
1st session: Final assessment includes a written assignment and an oral presentation (20%), a written exam (60%), and an oral exam (20%).
2nd session: Final assessment includes a written exam (80%) and an oral exam (20%).
* Unless otherwise specified, the use of generative AI is strictly prohibited for all assessed activities. Its use will be considered fraud under the terms of the RGEE. In the event of suspected fraud, the student must be able to demonstrate orally their knowledge of the content developed in their written work/exercises.
