Main Themes

Imagine a grid where each square represents a different artistic discipline. Design acts as a dynamic ball, bouncing from square to square, absorbing and synthesizing knowledge and experiences as it moves. This course focuses on the creative process that transforms an idea or concept into a functional, aesthetically compelling object. It explores the journey from a mundane object to one that captivates as an object of desire.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Experiment with the use of various materials, including natural materials, polymers, resins, and recycled elements,
  • Approach the creation of objects as a natural extension of architectural practice,
  • Design and integrate objects into architectural contexts, such as lamps, coat racks, and storage units,
  • Define and evaluate the qualities of objects, focusing on innovation, design, manufacturing processes, and life cycle considerations.
