Images of architecture and territory: the contributions of photographic and audiovisual techniques in the 20th and 21st centuries. What impact do these media have on architectural design and representation? From design to destruction, from documentary to fiction, from the scale of the room to that of the territory.

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Specific Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Cultivate an understanding of architectural imagery by critically analyzing photographic, cinematographic, and audiovisual representations of architecture and territory, focusing on design and mediation,
  • Create basic visual works (still and moving images) that effectively convey the material (physical construction) and immaterial (uses, atmospheres, temporality, and underlying project intentions) dimensions of the built environment and territory.
