Prerequisites
The prerequisite(s) for this Teaching Unit (Unité d’enseignement – UE) for the programmes/courses that offer this Teaching Unit are specified at the end of this sheet.
Main themes
This course encourages students to experiment with and strengthen their use of analog and digital representation tools introduced in BAC1, essential for visualizing objects and inhabited spaces (natural or built) imagined in three dimensions and representing them in two dimensions. This experimentation with tools and methods of representation is accompanied by cultural awareness.
The tools and media used foster a critical and reflective approach to modes of representation, the process of expression, their consequences, and their environmental impact. The attention to detail in creating freehand or instrumental drawings instills the necessary rigor for effective transmission and graphic expression. Themes covered include line drawing, proportions, composition, orthogonal (geometric representation), oblique (axonometry), and conical (perspective) projections, shading, scales, observational drawing, expressive drawing, communication drawing.
