At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Situate themselves within (and in relation to) a cultural heritage by sharpening critical thinking skills,
  • Reinterpret the pursuit of the ‘good life,’ central to philosophies since antiquity, within a contemporary context,
  • Identify the vocabulary, conceptual tools, and key developments in the evolution of philosophy,
  • Understand philosophy’s fundamental contribution to the conceptualization and practice of architecture, with the aim of contributing to a more habitable world, both individually and collectively.

General Learning Outcomes

In line with the program’s learning outcomes (LOs), this course contributes to the development and acquisition of the following LOs:
