Main themes
The course immerses students in the art of depicting vernacular housing, urbanism, and rural landscapes during a week in a village in the Drôme Provençale. Emphasis is placed on materials and color, enhanced by the distinctive southern light.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Observe and graphically represent mid-mountain rural landscapes,
  • Depict vernacular settlements and buildings in their contexts through graphic representation,
  • Experiment with and apply various graphic techniques, including pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and gouache.
