Main themes

This course is based on the content defined in the CATAGSAE course and the Practical Teaching Unit UEP CS1.4.4 for SAE instructors:
Safety and methodological content (learning progression) and didactic content (games and playful situations and challenging oneself).

Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :
Put on equipment, rope up and manage the safety of the roped party Suggest appropriate teaching situations to manage the learning of basic safety techniques in SAEs Recognise and detect critical unsafe situations Manage the emotional level required for this activity Manage basic technical situations safely Intervene to resolve dangerous situations. Demonstrate a sufficient level of performance and ease in climbing (Difficulty level 5A). Master a few knots useful in the defined field of competence. Lead an introductory session on an SAE using the fun and technical scenarios proposed during the course. Manage personal protective equipment
