Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Explain the developments and challenges addressed by the new EP&S curriculum;
  • Analyse and utilise the EP&S programmes and framework, at both the disciplinary and didactic/pedagogical levels;
  • Analyse, evaluate and justify a teaching/learning activity in relation to the programmes and frameworks, the basic principles of EP&S didactics and the level of the learners;
  • Describe, for each didactic or pedagogical approach discussed, the strengths, essential characteristics and learning challenges;
  • Explain the links between PE&H challenges and physical literacy and health literacy
  • Describe approaches and attitudes that take into account students' needs, stimulate creativity, develop a sense of belonging, and raise awareness of the importance of physical activity for health;
  • Understand the development of content that draws on the cross-curricular objectives of the core curriculum.
