  • The process of implementing an intervention based on scientific evidence to stimulate physical activity and combat sedentariness in different populations (young people, adults, the elderly, people with non-communicable diseases), depending on the context (active societies, active environments, active people in different environments (schools, local authorities, companies, etc.) and by different players (schools, public authorities, sports organisations, companies, coaches, teachers, etc.).
  • The role, methods of intervention and influence of civil society, the public sector and the private sector in this area
  • Physical activity in rural and urban environments

Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Identify and/or promote different forms of relevant and effective interventions to stimulate physical activity and combat sedentariness in different populations and in different contexts. (1.1, 1.2, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5, 7.4 and 1.11)
  • Assess the needs and problems relating to active lifestyles. (1.2, 3.2, 6.1 and 7.3)
