Content
The QA course in Philosophy of Culture will focus on the possibility of distinguishing three meanings of culture (ontological, anthropological, and singular) and demonstrating the dynamics that link them together. Three main authors will be discussed: Castoriadis, Pelluchon, and Didi-Huberman. We will see how cultures and civilizations overlap and interpenetrate over the short and long term, through singular and collective histories. We will study the processes of emancipation and empowerment, but also how culture is made and to be made.
Teaching methods
The course will be based on texts read in advance by students and discussed during the lesson.
Evaluation methods
Oral and written evaluation
