Having taken or taking simultaneously the course LFILO2503 - Teaching and Learning Philosophy and Citizenship in the Common Core.
Main themes
  1. Philosophical approach to the challenges of education for citizenship and the teaching of philosophy in schools
  2. In-depth philosophical analysis of the content of the framework and the programs for Education in Philosophy and Citizenship for the higher level of secondary education
  3. Presentation of various and appropriate teaching tools for learning the philosophical approach
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1. Produce an informed and rigorous philosophical reflection on the challenges of teaching philosophy and educating for citizenship in schools;
2. Produce an analysis of the objectives and content of the framework and the programs for education in philosophy and citizenship for the higher level of secondary education;
3. Produce a philosophical and didactic reflection on the themes (UAA) of the competency framework;
This assumes that the student will be capable of:
  • Problematising an issue;
  • Identifying and using relevant philosophical and human sciences references to address it;
  • Analyzing related texts;
  • Justifying, both orally and in writing, the choice of certain theoretical resources to approach, philosophically, a question of citizenship in the classroom.
