Content
As its name suggests, this activity is organised into two parts: one seeks inspiration for the project in construction, the other in the programme. These two inputs complement those of the site and spatiality discovered in the first programme block.
The construction part is based on the following content:
• Principles of composition
• Principles of design with masonry structures
• Construction and design based on existing structures
The programme part is based on the following content:
• Principles of composition
• Principles of programme interpretation
• Linking programme interpretation with composition decisions.

Evaluation methods
Students will work both independently and in groups.
For the Construction section, there will be various exercises assessed in addition to the final presentation. Details of the weighting are provided in the course outline.
For the Programme section, the assessment criteria will be provided in the course outline.
This activity is subject to continuous assessment. In accordance with Article 78 of the General Regulations for Studies and Examinations, the corresponding examination will only be held once. It will therefore not be possible to retake this teaching unit during the September session.
For the following paragraph, only the French version is valid.
Article 78. – As an exception to Article 77, assessments relating to certain learning activities – practical work, internships, reports, personal work and projects – may only be organised once per academic year. Once obtained, the mark is then deemed to be linked to each of the assessment sessions for the academic year.
Only a significant absence with a medical certificate (two weeks for a 45-hour or 60-hour activity, four weeks for a 90-hour or 120-hour activity) may justify an examination during the September session. A justified absence during an examination will be assessed during the examination session of the four-month period in which the activity was organised. The project will be assessed in its entirety by an examination board. The assessment of the project is continuous and takes into account the work done during the workshop.
