It is a question of learning to practice the profession of a theologian by working on practical questions or by simulating a situation in which a theologian is led to work. Thus, it will be shown how theological disciplines can collaborate among themselves in the construction of a theological discourse. Module B : Methodology in the form of a course. It will begin with general questions.
  • Finding a problem and making a plan
  • Writing an introduction and a conclusion
  • Writing a scientific work
  • Preparing a presentation using PowerPoint

Content
This first-year theology methodology course is designed to equip you for success in a university setting. It will enable you to acquire the fundamental skills of research, writing, and oral presentation necessary for any scientific approach, with a specific application to the discipline of theology.
Teaching methods
The program is divided into several practical modules:
  1. Introduction and Foundations: We will cover the basics of academic work and the role of artificial intelligence in modern academic research.
  2. Discourse and Narrative Analysis Methodology: You will learn to deconstruct a text, whether a theological discourse or a narrative, and to understand its different layers of meaning. Practical exercises will allow you to apply these techniques.
  3. Problem Formulation and Writing: We will see how to transform a question into a relevant research topic. You will receive specific advice for writing your papers, from developing a plan to the final formatting.
  4. The Art of Oral Presentation: From the principles of public speaking to techniques for designing visual aids, you will develop your ability to communicate your ideas clearly and effectively.
Evaluation methods
Throughout the seminar, various assessments will be conducted, culminating in a final exercise at the end of the course. Consequently, there is no session in September.
Other information
As this is a seminar, attendance at all sessions is strictly required. Since oral and written assignments are evaluated jointly, the seminar cannot be credited in the event of frequent absences.
