| 1. | Analyze and evaluate communication objects and processes in various social, political, and cultural contexts in order to assess their effectiveness and identify the social, political, and cultural issues that drive them. |
| 2. | Master the theoretical frameworks of strategic organizational communication. |
| 3. | Master the main methods of analysis and research related to strategic communication in organizations. |
Content
The course will review the governance and decision-making structures of organizations. It will also aim to help students develop a detailed understanding of what constitutes a mission, a vision, and an organizational strategy. A range of analytical tools and methods will be explained and applied to help students develop an organization’s strategic positioning.
The course will also address the various challenges at the intersection of strategy and communication (which communication mechanisms support development, participation, and buy-in to the strategy; what roles do communication professionals play in strategic design and decision-making, how not to confuse tactics with strategy).
Finally, the course will examine a series of societal issues (sustainability, ethics and values, instability, and transitions) with the aim of developing skills in analyzing organizational capacity and translating these into strategic challenges for the organization.

Methodology and Attendance
Active attendance is essential to succeed in the exam. The online presentations alone are not sufficient to grasp all the explanations and nuances provided during the lectures. The same applies to the group exercise conducted during the semester, which involves developing a communication plan in preparation for the written exam.
Use of Artificial Intelligence and Connected Devices
The use of artificial intelligence is not necessary during the course but may serve as a source of reflection for the group exercise. However, it is strictly prohibited during the exam.
Additionally, since part of the exam is open-book (case study), only paper notes are allowed for consultation. Access to any electronic device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other connected object) is strictly forbidden.
