Content
The aim of this course is to develop certain contributions of 'post-classical' narratology in relation to the new media manifestations of narrative that are appearing in particular in the era of 'transmedia storytelling', as well as from a media archaeology perspective. The course will focus on developing analytical models and conceptual perspectives linked to an approach to narrative in action (Baroni) and wordbuilding (Ryan), paying particular attention to the phenomena of narrative constellations (Goudmand) .
Teaching methods
The course will be based on a series of theoretical presentations and practical case studies. Students will be provided with a portfolio of readings so that they can develop their thinking on the basis of certain key texts in new approaches to narratology.
Evaluation methods
Written and individual exam administered during the exam session. The procedures are the same for the first and second exam sessions.
