Teaching methods
The course combines in-person activities (theoretical lectures and interactive activities) with online activities. The latter enable students to integrate the content of the theoretical lectures and activities conducted during class sessions and contribute to the development of the skills targeted by the course’s specific learning outcomes. The theoretical lectures provide an opportunity to review the online activities to ensure that students have fully integrated the theoretical content with practical applications.
Evaluation methods
For the first session, students are assessed in three ways:
  • Continuous assessment, including the submission of assignments or participation in online activities on Moodle (10% of the final grade). Students must complete 80% of the assignments and activities offered on Moodle to pass this part of the assessment.
  • A test on searching bibliographic databases organized during the course (30% of the final grade).
  • A written exam organized during the session (60% of the final grade).
In the second session, the assessment takes the form of a written exam (=100% of the grade).
