The course aims at offering a panorama of a chosen genre or theme in the particular context of the fifteenth century and through the works of François Villon.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  1. initiate students' training to the literary context of the fifteenth century through the in-depth examination of texts chosen according to their genre or theme.
  2. diversify readings and fields of analysis of works in middle french.

Students preparing a dissertation in the field of medieval French are strongly encouraged  to follow the course.
