Additional courses (preparatory module) to the master course

To access  this Master, students must have a good command of certain subjects. If this is not the case, in the first annual block of their Masters programme, students must take supplementary classes chosen by the faculty to satisfy course prerequisites.


The training added to some students depending on the program followed previously :

  • Belgian university bachelor degree (law, psychology and other programs): maximum additional training 15 credits
  • Belgian non-university bachelor degree:
    • Social worker assistant in law, in psychology, administrative sciences and public administration
      Adding more training (15 to 30 credits)
    • Nursing, Nursing, Mental Health and Psychiatry, Educator specialized in psycho-educational support, Communication, Social Counselor, Social Ecology, Human Resource Management
      Adding more training (30 to 60 credits)
  • Belgian Master degree of non-university higher education: maximum additional training 15 credits (to be defined at the time of admission).
  • undergraduate degree from a foreign university
    access to application file. A maximum of 60 credits of additional training can be added to your program.
    Subject to acceptance of the dossier.
  • You have professional experience of at least five years in criminology sector
    access to file, access via the valuation of acquired experience (VAE). A maximum of 60 credits of additional training can be added to your program.
    Subject to acceptance of the dossier.

The access for students of the High Schools were revised under the Decree "Paysage". This joint proposal from the Universities of the French Community of Belgium must be validated by the Academy of Research and Higher Education (ARES).
