Teaching method

Students play an active role in their own education

Students with a bachelor's degree in computer science benefit from a program based on active pedagogy, inviting each student to play a central role in their own education. To achieve this, a variety of teaching methods are used throughout the year, including :
- Lectures
- APP (problem-based learning)
- Concrete projects
- Exercise sessions
- Individual and group work
These approaches place students at the heart of their learning, fostering the development of the skills and attitudes they need to succeed in their studies in computer science and become responsible professionals.

Work experience
Starting in the first four months, you will take part in projects that will enable you to experience real-life work situations. These experiences will give you a concrete insight into your future profession and prepare you for the demands of professional life, such as rigor, punctuality, communication and teamwork. Developing these skills right from the start is essential to your success.
Regular deadlines
To help you keep track of your progress, some courses include mid-course tests that will enable you to take stock of your academic situation. In addition, you'll receive constructive feedback on a wide range of assignments throughout the year. This will encourage you to assimilate knowledge gradually and adjust your working methods as the program progresses.

Helping you succeed
- Helping you make the transition from high school to university
As soon as you arrive at university, you'll be learning how to manage the autonomy you'll be given. While our professional mentors are always available, it's up to you to be proactive in asking for help and clarification, and in organizing your deadlines. To this end, a number of activities are planned within the program to support your efforts.

- Before the start of the academic year
Summer courses give you the opportunity to discover the university, meet other future students and deepen your knowledge. Future students of the Bachelor of Computer Science program are invited to a week of courses dedicated to mathematics, computer science and methodology.

- Back to school at
To get to grips with essential methodological objectives right from the start, the first week of the bachelor's degree in computer science is devoted to a group project. During this week, you'll have the opportunity to :
- Meet your future classmates,
- Discover the demands of university,
- Become aware of the need to adapt your working methods,
- Explore in concrete terms what it means to study computer science at university level.

- During the first year

Teachers and assistants are on hand to help you overcome any difficulties you may encounter. Kots-à-projets, a group of students committed to university success, also offer support. For example, the RhétoKot provides general information, while the Kotangente offers specific help in mathematics. What's more, a number of initiatives enable students in their senior years to share their experience with younger students.
