You have been selected by your home university for an exchange program at UCLouvain during the academic year 2026-2027 - We are very happy to welcome you !
PLEASE book your UCLouvain accomodation AS SOON AS POSSIBLE when the online form is open as from March 31st, 2026
First arrived, first served basis.
Getting an accommodation IS NOT a done deal and it may be difficult. If you don’t get a positive answer before July, you may still get a place upon arrival if there are free places left.
Online registration
You are considered as un exchange student and NOT an international student.
We are in the campus of Louvain-la-Neuve.
For all the questions related to housing, please contact the housing department.
If you don't get a place to stay within the UCLouvain housing department, here are some options to be considered:

1. First, you need to check that your home university has an agreement with our Faculty of Law.
2. Your home coordinator nominates you through Mobility Online :
before April 30th for an exchange during the fall semester or the full academic year ;
before October 31st for an exchange during the spring semester.
3.You will then receive an email from Mobility Online with all the enrolment procedure to register to the UCLouvain :
before May 31st for an exchange during the fall semester or the full academic year ;
before November 30th for an exchange during the spring semester.
4. You start your online application through Mobility Online. You need a copy of your passport as well as your Transcript of records.

5. Once you have finished the Mobility Online process, the enrolment office will send you your official acceptance letter by email as well as your ID to activate your student account and access to the different certificates at the end of May/June for the fall semester or at the end of October/November for the spring semester.
*Chinese students: I send your APS letter by email in June 2026
** Non-EU students: I send your official enrolment letter to the embassy/consulate upon request if needed
6. You activate your uclouvain student account
Good to know: In “my attestations”, you will find many certificates to prove your enrolment at the university. One of them can be used to get discounts on train.

7. Get your student access card
Your learning agreement must be signed by the three parties. It can be created :
Through our Mobility online platform or
You send your home LA model by email to me
or
For EU students : through the OLA platform if your home university uses it
It is up to your home university which courses you can choose. We allow you to select Bachelor and/or Master courses, in French and/or English.
However, we require a minimum of 20 ECTS (4 courses) including 5 ECTS for the compulsory course LDROI1053.
Deadline to receive your Learning Agreement completed and signed by you and your home university : end of August for the fall semester and end of January for the spring semester

If the courses overlap, this means you have scheduling-conflict.
This timetable can change everyday. Please make sure to check regularly if there are any changes.
Timetable of « exercices pratiques » is tailor-made for each student from a Belgian univeristy or from Luxembourg. It will be done at the beginning of the academic year based on the student courses. EP are compulsory.
FREE FRENCH COURSE
Institut des langues vivantes (ILV) allows exchange students to take free French course up to maximum 10 credits/semester or 16 credits/year.
The French Course is free of charge only if the course is indicated in your learning agreement and signed by your home university.
For more information, please refer to the ILV.
No Enrolment before going to the course. Enrolment procedure will be explained in class and at the information session.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
We requiere a B2 level in French if you take French courses and B2 level in English if you take English course.
We do not need a proof of your French or English level. We do trust your home university with sending student capable to take courses in French or English.
We only advice the student to speak a bit French in order to live and to be able to communicate with other habitant in the city.
You need to register to your courses on your UCLouvain user dashboard.
You can only start this process if you have already received your official letter from the university and already created your student virtual account.

Click on the boxes on the right and select the courses indicated on your Learning Agreement.

• French course : to be added in September/February
• For the registration of courses in another faculty than the law faculty, you cannot add them during this process. Please leave us a message through the platform and we will add them.• You can check your timetable (click on the right – Timetable)
• You can modify as long as you don't submit- SUBMIT your courses enrolment
ADD/DROP PERIOD
You have three weeks as from the first day of classes (in September and in February) to change your courses. We advice you to meet teachers in order to understand the modalities of the courses and exams as well as the level of French and/or English requested. Please update your learning agreement on Mobility Online or on Online Learning Agreement as well as on your UCLouvain student virtual desk.
Students form fall semester : October 2nd 2026
Students from spring semester : February 19th 2027
MOODLE
Moodle is a distance course information platform used by Professors to give students information, exercises, documents, and communication tools regarding their courses. Professors will inform students if they use this tool during their first lecture and provide them with the enrollment key, if necessary.
Your registration on Moodle is not an official registration. To access Moodle, you must be registered as a UCLouvain student and have your UCLouvain account activated. You can log in to Moodle with your UCLouvain user account by going to https://moodle.uclouvain.be/. You will then have the possibility to search for your courses using the course code to find your lecture notes or any other document the Professor has posted there for you. Note that you may be asked to enter the enrollment key that was provided during the first lecture.
