The ELectrical ENgineering department (ELEN) gathers about 190 people and is part of the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics (ICTEAM).

This department is dedicated to promoting research in the field of Communication Systems, Cryptography and Information Security, Data Science and Electronics and Micro/Nano Technologies.

Most of its members are involved in the engineering degrees organized by the Louvain School of Engineering (Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain).

ELEN hosts the "WELCOME" technological platform of ICTEAM. The department is also associated to technological platform "WINFAB".
