Speaker: Prof. Kenju Miki, Nara Women’s University, Japan.
Mr. Kenju Miki (PhD), is a Professor Emeritus at Nara Women's University (Japan) and a researcher in integrative physiology, specializing in cardiovascular and autonomic physiology. His research has focused on the autonomic regulation of arterial pressure during sleep and exercise, specifically through sympathetic nerve activity. He has studied the relationship between long-term high-salt intake and hypertension, including renal and lumbar sympathetic nerve activity.

Mr. Vaughan Macefield (PhD) is a Professor of Neuroscience at the School of Translational Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne (Australia). He is an internationally recognized neurophysiologist known for his work on the human nervous system, particularly the control of the sympathetic nervous system in humans. He is an expert in recording nerve activity in conscious human subjects, especially through microneurography, a technique that involves inserting tungsten microelectrodes into peripheral nerves.
