François Maniquet appointed administrator of the Francqui Foundation

François Maniquet, researcher at CORE, has been appointed administrator of the Francqui Foundation. He took up his new position on 22 September 2026, following the Foundation’s latest Board meeting.

Founded in 1932 by Emile Francqui and Herbert Hoover, the Francqui Foundation aims to promote excellence in fundamental research in Belgium. It contributes to scientific progress by recognising outstanding scientists, fostering national and international interuniversity exchanges, and supporting promising research projects.

Through this appointment, François Maniquet will contribute to the Foundation’s mission of supporting scientific excellence and strengthening the research community in Belgium.
