On March 6, our members gathered for our annual Research Day, a great opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss the valorization of research, and highlight new projects emerging within the institute. A highlight of the day was the presentation of the two LouRIM Seed Fund projects, followed by discussions and a vote to select this year’s winning proposal.

Congratulations to Camille Charles, Caroline Ducarroz and Corentin Vande Kerckhove, winners of the 2026 LouRIM Seed Fund, for their project “When Health Meets Personalization: Consumer Responses to Health-Oriented Biased Recommendation Agents”. The project explores how consumers react when recommendation algorithms encourage healthier food choices while still taking their personal preferences into account. It examines when such recommendations are accepted or resisted, and how transparency about algorithmic bias can influence trust and decision-making.

Congratulations as well to Sabrina Courtois and Antoine Inglebert-Frydman for their excellent proposal and the stimulating discussion it generated.

Thank you all for making this day such a great success!
