What is Inclusive Education?

Inclusive education is defined as "an education that implements devices aimed at removing or reducing the material, pedagogical, cultural, social and psychological barriers encountered in access to studies, in the course of studies and in the socio-professional insertion of the beneficiary students".

What is PEPS'In?

In 2011, UCLouvain chose to gather under a single label PEPS (Project for Students with Specific Profiles) students who, because of a disability, a serious illness, an attention or learning disorder, or a high-level sports or artistic activity, cannot engage in a university course without special accommodations.

Since the start of the 2014-2015 academic year, the Decree on inclusive higher education has reinforced and set the guidelines for the PEPS label in force at UCLouvain since 2011. It constitutes a legal framework that organizes inclusive education and aims to promote the implementation of measures and resources to support students who are beneficiaries of the status in order to cope with the difficulties, related to their situation, that they experience in their lives as students.
