Three dissertation prizes for Victor Anciaux, LSM Alumnus

We are proud to share that Victor Anciaux’s thesis won no fewer than three awards! His work, written under the supervision of Professor Frédéric Vrins, and titled "Enhancing Portfolio Performance with Ensemble Machine Learning Models and Dynamic Thresholding" has won the first Prize for the Best ING Master Thesis in Finance 2025 – a prize awarded to Victor during the LSM Graduation Ceremony in November 2025. 

And there is more: his work also won the First place at the International CFQ Quant Awards 2025, a competition jointly organised by CFA Societies across Belgium, France, Ireland, Istanbul, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Spain (Quant Awards - CFA Society France | Connecting Finance Professionals). Last but not least, his work was awarded first place for the Best Belgian Master Thesis Awards in Finance 2025 given by CFA Society Belgium.s (Belgium University Master Theses Prize - CFA Society Belgium | Connecting Finance Professionals) 

Victor’s awards, obtained in competition with some of the most prestigious Belgian and European universities, are a magnificent recognition of the quality of his work and the excellence of our programme in Business Engineering.
