A special event gathers 9 companies and 80 LSM students and alumni!

At LSM, throughout their Master's degree, we offer our students the opportunity to meet with top-tier employers during different corporate activities (company visits, job fairs, soft skills seminars, …).
Two weeks ago, this special event gathered together over eighty LSM students and alumni, nine of our corporate partners and our students’ associations, Expand Consulting, Junior Consulting Louvain (JLC), and LSM Investment Club (LSMI).
This new and original event provided our partners with an opportunity to meet students who are all united in the notion of 'sense of commitment' that characterises these junior enterprises and highly dedicated clubs. The three associations collaborated to create an ice-breaker game aimed at fostering connections between students, alumni, and company representatives. Arthur Etienne, Prospecting and Development Coordinator at Thomas & Piron, found it a particularly “great idea to organise this kind of networking events bringing together faculty, companies and students.'"
Jean Lucas, future CEO of Expand Consulting, explains that “the ice-breaker created an engaging environment, allowing participants to connect across profiles (students, alumni, companies, and LSM representatives), and offering further opportunities for meaningful exchanges”. Emilie Georges, Co-President of LSMI mentions that “the event was very enjoyable and had a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, which made it easy to connect and have meaningful conversations. During the event, I made sure to facilitate interactions by encouraging our members to engage with other clubs and company representatives, while also taking the opportunity to speak directly with the companies myself.”
In response to our question as to whether or not our student associations will participate again in this event, they stated: “The JCL team really loved chatting with the partners and the professors in such a relaxed vibe. It was an awesome experience for everyone involved, and we would absolutely love to do it all over again!” explains Alexandre Defosse, JLC CEO; “It was a valuable opportunity to interact not only with the companies but also with LSMI, JCL and Expand. I would definitely participate again. It was a truly great evening”, says Emilie from LSMI and Jean Lucas from Expand Consulting adds “As this format is quite unique, we truly believe it would be worth organising it again in the future. Not only to further strengthen the already solid partnership between Expand and LSM, but also to continue building bridges between students, alumni, and the professional world.”
The faculty once again thanks Expand Consulting, JLC and LSMI for their enthusiasm and energy and our corporate partners for their participation.
