Cirle U: New Double Degree partnership between the University of Pisa and LSM, and more!

Louvain School of Management (LSM) has been selected as a pilot faculty for a new Circle U. project, which consists of creating initiatives based on course programmes.

Circle U. is a European University Alliance founded in 2020. It unites UCLouvain and eight other leading universities around a shared ambition to build a European campus that encourages innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. 

From online courses to summer schools and mobility schemes, Circle U. aims to make international experiences more accessible for its community. 

This new project has three main objectives:

• Strengthen two Double Degree programmes at LSM: the first with the University of Aarhus, by visiting the partner institution and improving the exchange agreement between Aarhus and LSM; and secondly, to develop and finalise a Double Degree agreement with the University of Pisa. LSM hosted the delegation from Pisa last week, and our Dean and the international team will travel to Pisa to sign the agreement in June. This new exchange agreement will enable the recruitment of students from September 2026 for the 2027-2028 academic year onwards.
• Internationalise courses at LSM: the aim would be to promote and raise awareness of all possible course formats within Circle U. This would help foster collaboration between staff and students within the alliance.
• Help students develop an entrepreneurship mindset abroad: every university in the Circle U. alliance has a network of businesses in its local area. The idea would be to establish partnerships with incubators run by other university partners. This would enable our students to have a broader range of academic and professional opportunities abroad.

The project will run from April 2026 to December 2027 and will serve as a basis for other UCLouvain faculties.
