The NEUR Division and the ALZAD Special Interest Group are pleased to invite you to a lunch Symposium on Alzheimer’s disease, which will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, from 12:30 to 14:00 in Salle ICP 2 (LEW).

This symposium will feature:

- Prof. Laura Wisse (Lund University, Sweden), who will present: « In vivo and ex vivo imaging of the medial temporal lobe in aging and dementia »

Ms. Wisse is a renowned researcher and neuroscientist specializing in high-resolution brain imaging, particularly the study of the hippocampus. She is currently a senior lecturer and research associate in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Lund University in Sweden. Her work focuses on aging and neurodegenerative diseases.

- Prof. Rik Vandenberghe (KU Leuven / UZ Leuven, Belgium), who will present: « AI-based assessment of speech and language in Alzheimer’s disease »

Mr. Rik Vandenberghe is a distinguished professor of neurology at KU Leuven and a neurologist at UZ Leuven. He heads the Laboratory of Cognitive Neurology and the Memory Clinic, specializing in Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and cognitive disorders.
