Table Thématique : Cancer du sang et Hématologie

A l'occasion de l'actualité du CHU UCL Namur : CAR T Cells : un traitement novateur en Hématologie, la BSS met, virtuellement, en évidence une petite sélection de livres et ebooks de ses collections sur ce sujet.

Fruit d’un travail de près d’un an, le projet des cellules CAR-T est une innovation thérapeutique dans la prise en charge des cancers du sang. Concrètement, il s’agit de prélever les cellules immunitaires du patient (lymphocytes T), de les modifier génétiquement en laboratoire et de les réinjecter au patient. En Belgique, notre site hospitalier de Godinne appartient aux 8 centres référents ayant accès aux cellules CAR-T remboursées. Seuls deux centres sont agréés en Wallonie.
