Main themes
The main theme of the course is to show the links between gender issues and other types of inequality, an approach which draws on elements from a range of disciplines in the Social Sciences. The perspective taken is at once comparative and historical.

Content
The course illustrates gender inequalities in various fields and life stages. Drawing from a variety of disciplines, the course will also address the main explanatory theories of gender inequalities and their persistence, as well as possible strategies for achieving equality. Comparisons between different geographical areas will be constantly applied, as well as analysis by gender identity and through the prism of intersectionality.
Teaching methods
By the end of the course, you will be able to critically analyse gender issues from a variety of epistemological approaches.
