Main themes
The 50-hour training period is divided in three parts:
  1. Classroom observation and analysis of pedagogical practices (10h): the aim is to push the student to project himself being in charge of the class by meeting his future pupils and training supervisor.
  2. Teaching practice (40h) : the aim is to allow the future teacher to experience the different points approached in the theoretical courses under the guidance of training supervisors registered by the UCLouvain.
  3. Presentation of report lessons.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  1. design, plan and teach philosophy classes in upper secondary education,
  2. think about his teaching practice and regulate it,
  3. adapt to different professional situations in different school environments by interacting with training supervisors.

Other information
In formal education, the ban on wearing religious symbols, when stipulated in the school's internal regulations, also applies to student teachers.
