Content
The educational psychology course begins with an explanation of some important concepts and the presentation of the historical, sociological and institutional contexts of education. Next, the contributions of the major schools of psychology to the field of education are detailed. Several major themes in educational science are then reviewed: motivation and education; emotions, well-being and education; school dropout; bullying; academic and career guidance; education and information technology.
Teaching methods
The course sessions will take the form of interactive lectures supported by illustrations and case studies.
Evaluation methods
The main assessment, worth 15/20 in the final grade, consists of a written "Multiple Response Questionnaire" exam. For the remaining 5 points, students will be required to participate in data collection exercises on research themes that will be developed during the course and will form part of the examination material.
